St John Ambulance ACT is a leading provider of healthcare and first aid services for events across the Canberra region.
St John Ambulance believes in empowering our children and youth to be capable in first aid situations. The St John ACT First Aid in Schools (FAiS) Program has been going since 2012 in the ACT.
St John Ambulance ACT hosts Community First Aid Workshops to help make first aid a part of everybody’s life.
The St John CBR NightCrew is a collaborative initiative between local government and industry to help people have a safer night out in Canberra. Managed and run by St John Ambulance ACT and staffed by trained volunteers, the program uses a harm minimisation approach to help people avoid being robbed or assaulted in Canberra City on a night out.
St John Ambulance Australia (ACT)’s Project Resilience is aimed at our older generation. We deliver Project Resilience free of cost because we strive to build resilience in our local communities by providing free, basic first aid training to seniors and active retirees in the ACT.
Project survival is dedicated to the members in our community facing adversity. We acknowledge that life is sometimes unfair so we are providing a free opportunity to aid these members and to give a life-long skill that can benefit themselves, families and friends.
In the event of an emergency operation in the ACT, St John forms part of the first response in partnership with Emergency Services Agency, Commonwealth Agencies and the ACT Government.
St John Ambulance Australia's Ophthalmic Program aims to raise funds to continue support of the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group (SJEGH), and ophthalmic activities in Timor Leste and remote Australia.
