Volunteering with St John

St John First Aid volunteers provide a volunteer First Aid service to the Australian community at events throughout the country. Around 10,000 Operations Branch volunteers, in their familiar black and white uniform provided almost 600,000 hours of service and treatment for nearly 80,000 casualties in 2004. This includes the contribution of over 3,500 Cadets aged 8 to 18. St John has provided this service in Australia since the 1880s.

St John provides first aid services at public events ranging from local sporting and community events through to major festivities such as the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, the Melbourne Grand Prix, Clipsal 500 (SA), the Big Day Out, Rally Australia (WA), Surf Life Saving Championships, ANZAC Day services and New Years Eve celebrations Australia wide.
